Quest 048

The first one was silly, at best. A bit troublesome, perhaps, but harmless in moderation. Certainly, some people have used it as an excuse to reel around in a drunken stupor all day and all night, but it wasn't as though accomplishing it through moderation was an impossible feat.

The second was worse, but it does happen that sometimes people become enemies over silly things, and so some good might've come from borrowing sugar from them. It might provide an opening for a civil conversation, which could help with repairing a friendship. And other people don't have enemies at all here, which is sometimes a good thing to recognize and take pride in.

But this new one...

Well. I've done worse things for the sake of the people I care about. And I know I've trusted my friends with enough knowledge about myself that it shouldn't be any trouble for any of you to make me cry, so...

Don't worry. If you ask my help in completing this demand, I'll understand, and I won't mind. I promise.

On a happier note, Rue's been found, so hopefully things will take a turn for the better now. I've had enough of dark clouds for a while; I'm more than ready for the silver lining.

Well, I don't want to make you so sad or upset you cry.

[Sam glanced back towards the kitchen.]

I vote for burying them outside in the snow.

You could've done something so impossibly touching that I was overcome by emotion and ended up crying that way.

[She followed his gaze with her own, wrinkling her nose at the thought of all those onions.]

In a very, very deep hole, I think.

Hey, I'm saving that for a time when I'm not force to make you cry.

[Sam gave a disgusted look at the kitchen.]

I'll take care of it in a bit.

Oh, is that so? That'll be something to look forward to, then. Since I'm sure, with you orchestrating it all, it'll turn out nothing short of spectacular.
