Sam chuckled and he leaned against her a bit more. He thought of all the times he really had leaned on Rosella and probably hadn't even known it. She never tried to force cheerfulness on him, she just sort of quietly let him know she was sure things would get better and she'd be there to help until they did.

"Okay, but if we lean the same way, lean towards me," he said. "I make a better pillow. You might have a brick stashed in your pocket or something."
