I'm trying to think if I know of any good advice for what to do when encountering an abominable snowman. The best I can come up with at the moment is "Don't.", but that's not very helpful at all. Er. I seem to recall hearing once that they like things that shine? Like crystal, or glass. So that might help, somehow.

Good, I'm glad. I don't know exactly how many suspects we'll need, since I'm not sure how much interest there is in all this, but we'll just have to be flexible, I suppose.
