Quest 162

Drat it all, now this is just getting ridiculous.

Really, I understand that there's a curse today and we can't help the actions we take when we're cursed, but must we all be so violent about things? Honestly, I can understand that being rated by someone else isn't exactly the nicest feeling in the world, but that's no reason to go around threatening to hit them! And particularly not like--oh, what was it? "The fist of an angry god"? Goodness, it's just terrible. What could anyone possibly do to deserve that?

Or that other one. I don't even know what I did to warrant it, but earlier today someone walked up to me all of a sudden and threatened to hit me so hard that it'd take the next King of England to pull him off me again! Really, of all the terrible things... It's horrible! And makes me even more convinced about taking steps to prevent things like this--

Honestly, it'll be over at midnight, and I'm sure we'll all be thankful for that when it comes. But can't we all just try to get along until then without losing our tempers?

[OOC: Yes. Yes I did. And yes, she is a bit cursed today, though she hasn't quite realized it yet. Feel free to rate her if you want, and she'll rate people who reply in one way or another, depending on what fits best. Or just, y'know, break her brain trying to explain "I'd hit it". =D]

Yep, that would be bias-making. It's a good day, though!

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
It is! I'm very content with it. I can't imagine a day that would suit me better, honestly.

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
You're alright. It's a fair bet I'll have heard worse.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
It's not that I'm worried it'll be worse, just that it'll be embarrassing. Or silly. But it's not as though I've gone around saying I wanted to hit anyone, or anything like that.

Mostly it's just things like saying you're wonderful. And that I'm glad to have had the chance to meet you. And that you're one of the few people here that never fails to make me feel safe, when you're around.

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm really not--

Making someone feel safe is a good thing in my book. I'm glad. And I'm glad to get to know you, too. I don't know any princesses back home, just girls who act like them.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh? Now I'm imagining your patients coming to you with all manner of princessly worries, like the one who finds herself covered in bruises every time she sleeps on something rougher than a pea, or the one who fell asleep on her sixteenth birthday and hasn't been awake at all since.

[identity profile] princess-crow.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I am? I have always envied your fair-hair, it's more proper of a Princess.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that rather depends on the princess, really. My mother has dark hair like yours, and I'm sure she's as proper a princess as they come. Or was, anyway, before she married Daddy and became a proper queen, instead.

[identity profile] princess-crow.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Mytho and I will be always be a Prince and a Princess, even if we're married and rule a kingdom. It's how we are.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
But that's only right, isn't it? Since that's how it should be.

[identity profile] princess-crow.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
I think so. Princes and Princesses remain such happily ever after.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
It's enough to make one wish that everyone were a prince or a princess, really.

[identity profile] princess-crow.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Is that what you would wish?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
...No. I think I'd just wish that everyone could come home with me to Daventry. Then we'd all live happily ever after, regardless of whether we were princes and princesses or not.

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
I've... had weirder cases. The princesses I'm talking about weren't raised so well.

[identity profile] princess-crow.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish I could take all my friends to my kingdom too.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
But they're not the sort that have been locked in towers all their lives, I hope?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd like very much to see it someday, if I could.
