Quest 162

Drat it all, now this is just getting ridiculous.

Really, I understand that there's a curse today and we can't help the actions we take when we're cursed, but must we all be so violent about things? Honestly, I can understand that being rated by someone else isn't exactly the nicest feeling in the world, but that's no reason to go around threatening to hit them! And particularly not like--oh, what was it? "The fist of an angry god"? Goodness, it's just terrible. What could anyone possibly do to deserve that?

Or that other one. I don't even know what I did to warrant it, but earlier today someone walked up to me all of a sudden and threatened to hit me so hard that it'd take the next King of England to pull him off me again! Really, of all the terrible things... It's horrible! And makes me even more convinced about taking steps to prevent things like this--

Honestly, it'll be over at midnight, and I'm sure we'll all be thankful for that when it comes. But can't we all just try to get along until then without losing our tempers?

[OOC: Yes. Yes I did. And yes, she is a bit cursed today, though she hasn't quite realized it yet. Feel free to rate her if you want, and she'll rate people who reply in one way or another, depending on what fits best. Or just, y'know, break her brain trying to explain "I'd hit it". =D]

Ten, easily.
instrumentals: (where there is injury; pardon)

[personal profile] instrumentals 2010-01-31 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Ah-- They've really said those things to you today?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Easily? Mm, now I suspect you're exaggerating.

But thank you, I'm flattered you think so.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
I've been hearing it all over today. Really, I understand that things like this can get tedious, but that's no reason to resort to physical violence.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Not at all, and you're quite welcome, of course.
instrumentals: (where there is despair; hope)

[personal profile] instrumentals 2010-01-31 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I can understand that they may feel hurt by what others have said about them, but making such threats really isn't defensible.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
You're enjoying yourself today, aren't you, Cain?

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Is it so obvious as all that?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Especially not when they just come out of nowhere! Honestly, I don't know what I could've said to warrant such a threat, but someone felt it necessary to make one, nonetheless.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I don't know. Perhaps I just know the signs to look for, by now.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I think that must be it.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
In any case, it's nice to see.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
It is rather interesting to enjoy a curse for once.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
I do hope no one's threatened you today, though. That sort of thing seems to be coming up rather frequently.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Konata said that she would hit me, and somehow there were 'bonus points' involved for how I dress. But she seemed to mean it as a joke, so I didn't think it was a threat exactly.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
It's an odd thing to joke about, though. Especially if the person you're joking with is a complete stranger, as some people have been doing today.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, it is an odd thing to joke about, but it's a figure of speech, I feel certain.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if it's meant to be complimentary or flattering in any sort of way, I think I'd much prefer something a bit more traditional. Even if thinking so makes me old-fashioned.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Was my assessment traditional enough or shall I try again?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it wasn't exactly Shakespeare, but I can hardly find fault in a perfect score on an assessment, can I?

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
It is difficult to argue against, yes.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think I much compare to a summer's day, anyway.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
That is true. Thou art more lovely and more temperate.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
More temperamental, more like.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
That isn't how it goes at all.
