...For all its faults and curses and miseries, the City really is a beautiful place, isn't it?

It's a lovely night for riding, I think.

[OOC: She's heading for the Fountain, specifically; yay, growing nostalgia. Action is fair game if you feel like encountering her!]

The City is an interesting place, but I don't think I can call it beautiful.

You're used to cities, though, aren't you? Or more used to them than I am, at least. We don't have anything even nearly close to a place like this in Daventry.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
I'm still surprised, though, that you'd call it beautiful. After all, I did pay a visit to Daventry that time in your dream.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
I can't think both are beautiful in their own ways?

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
You certainly say that you're able. Really, I suppose I haven't an argument here, but I do find it hard to believe.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
It could be that I'm just being silly, you know. I do that, on occasion. But I think it's really the people that make the City so lovely, and not so much the landscape.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I'd still rather call it 'interesting' than 'beautiful', but perhaps I'm just being willful. I do that, on occasion.

I call most things interesting, though, and most of them are much smaller and less intriguing than the City as a whole is. So it really doesn't seem quite fair to merely term it 'interesting'. How often do you call things 'beautiful'?

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Not especially often, but the things I do call beautiful are mostly much smaller than the City.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Well, then, I think you're right, and you are just being willful.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not about to say you're being silly, though, unless you're not careful while going riding at night.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
I'm only going to the fountain and back, and I'm being very careful along the way. I just want to see what it's like at night.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
I think it's really quite interesting at night. One might even call it beautiful.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
One might, but would you?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, so smaller than the City, but at least as large as the fountain. I'll keep that in mind.
