Quest 133
[Private//Hackable by Friends]
Every other, every other. First an awful curse, then a silly one, and then back again--and the pattern is holding, it seems. If the curses really are switching back and forth between awful and ridiculous, then the next one ought to be awful again. And since we're coming into the last week of October now, and Halloween is a week from tomorrow, no doubt whatever awful things are coming will be the worst. Of all time. Or at least of the month, anyway.
But at least everyone seems to be doing...well...mostly all right. Rue is still avoiding me, but at least Blue and Tony aren't angry with me, which is something. Sam and I have been keeping safe in the Warehouse, Neil and Todd seem to be fine, Cain's in one of the best moods I've ever seen him in, now that his Riff is here...and in another week October will be over, and then we can all start looking forward to Givi--er, no, it's Thanksgiving, that's what it was--and Christmas. I'll have to start thinking of gifts for everyone, too. But won't it be nice, having so many friends this year for the holidays? And no witch to spoil everything--
And yesterday I was a modern girl again. Which is always so strange, looking back on it the next day, because I know full well that she was me...and yet somehow I'm not her. It's always who I might've been, and she's different from me, but she's the same, too. She's always more...sure of herself, somehow? It's not a difference of confidence, not at all, but somehow she always manages to...fit. Like Blair as the queen of her Upper East Side that isn't a kingdom at all.
Like me, when I'm in Daventry, where everything makes sense.
I wonder if someday I ought to try doing that. Just for a day. Not to walk around in awful shoes or wear things that don't fit or anything like that, but--
No, I think I'll save those thoughts for after October is over. The storm isn't through yet, and I still have that awful feeling that the worst is yet to come.
A little longer. I'll give myself a little longer to figure it all out, and then I'll decide.

Well, with just a bit over a week left to go until Halloween, I think I've managed to decide on what I want to dress up as for it--the curse yesterday gave me the idea for it, actually. It's something that I could manage to be for a whole day, if I were cursed into it, and it's something familiar enough, and more importantly, it's something that I know I can find all the pieces for in a week's time. So that'll be something interesting to think about for the next weekno matter what happens.
As curses go, the one we had yesterday wasn't so very bad, was it? It was something to do with music, but at least we weren't all made to go around singing every word we said, or that would've led to some very sore throats and strained voices today. And I ended up with some pictures of myself, too; I'm not exactly sure what they were meant for, but they're pretty enough, even though I'm afraid I wrote all over a few of them. But I suppose I'll keep them for something to look at and remember by, even if I do look...well, rather odd in them.
Still, with Halloween coming up and so many parties being planned, I think I'd better start making a list of when each of them are. I've heard Blair is planning one, and Blue is holding one at the Blue Light a week from today, and Sam and I want to have one a week from tomorrow on Halloween itself...so that's quite a lot of parties, but it's good to keep busy, anyway. Oh, and I've heard talk of trick-or-treating, too, so I'll have to make certain we have some fine treats for anyone that comes to the door that night.
...And I need to find a pomegranate.

I forbid you to go as Eve, if that's what you're thinking of. Not that I can actually forbid you from doing things, but I can say that I do.
