Quest 174
[Accidental Video Post]
[These random weekends of curses aren't necessarily the most peaceful times to be spending the day out in the City, but as the video opens on a slightly tilted view of the Fountain, it's apparent that Rosella has decided to brave the potential pandemonium of the afternoon and go out to enjoy the day.
However, as the feed continues, it begins to appear that there is something odd afoot--she is clearly by herself at the moment, but she seems to be staring at a fixed point in the air, watching it carefully. Upon closer inspection, one can see that her lips are moving, but at the moment it is too faint to make out what she is saying.
After a minute, she reaches for her device and tucks it into one of the pockets of her skirt, apparently not realizing that it had switched on by itself; now the only video available is of shadowed red fabric, but the microphone is close enough to make out her words when she speaks.]
...have to go at midnight, you know.
[A pause.]
No, I know. And I don't mind, really. I have a feeling you're only a curse, so likely you won't remember this, anyway.
[Another short pause; this time, when she speaks again, the smile in her tone is evident.]
But even if it is only a curse, I'm glad you're here, just the same. There are much worse curses to be afflicted with on one's birthday, after all. It's not the only reason I'm glad, of course, but--well, as I told you earlier, with the way things have been going lately...I suppose I was rather expecting it to be something awful, and it turned out it wasn't at all.
[Silence. And then, a faint sigh.]
I think so. You'll come with me, when I do?
[A brief pause.]
All right. But in the meantime, what else shall we do together for our birthday, hmm? There's still plenty more of the City to see, you know, and less and less time left to see it in. So really, we shouldn't dawdle.
[And with a shuffle of fabric against the microphone, the feed ends.]
[OOC: Okay, so I am a sentimental doof and I've already been pretty mean to Rosella recently, so she gets the Ghost World curse for her birthday. She's figured out that it's a curse, and not really real, but at the same time, she's kind of okay with that. Every little bit helps, and all that.
Hit her with whatever you want--action, Network, anything's welcome. =D]

Oh- and Happy Birthday!

[Shuffle shuffle shuffle, extracting device from pocket, obligatory "what this was on?" moment of recognition]
Oh, er, hello, Alma! Thank you so very much! My, how long has this been on?

rue knows of her birthday right?
Yup, they talked about it last year, and she's been dropping hints for weeks now, too.

action?
Penny-the-dog succeeds in finding Rosella, but Rosella seems to be occupied. Is that the air she's talking to? Penny lays down by the fountain with her head on her paws, waiting for an opportunity to butt in. She doesn't want to interrupt whatever conversation Rosella's having with... whoever.]
action!
She does, however, notice the friendly dog that's come over to see her. Odd, she can't help but think that it seems a bit familiar somehow, but she can't quite put her finger on why.]
Why, hello, there!
action!
Rrouff!
[Oh dear. That didn't sound like 'Hey, Rosella! Happy birthday!' at all. Penny may have to resort to mime.]
