It's finished! Oh, and just in time, too. I admit, I had my doubts as to whether or not the smith would be able to finish it all on such short notice, but when I stopped in today to see about it, it was ready and waiting for me!



And just in time, I must say! Is it true there's a masquerade tonight? What fun! I'm sure he would've enjoyed himself, too. It's a good thing I asked for everything to be made as light as possible; it just wouldn't do to be clunking around everywhere, making a nuisance of myself. I wonder what Daddy and Mother would say, if they could see me now? Daddy would laugh, I'm sure. And Mother...would probably just shake her head and sigh.

I hope all of you are planning on attending, as well? On such short notice...would it be proper to go without an escort? Nn, but I can't just--no, it'll be fine, I'm sure I'm so looking forward to seeing all the sights--and everyone's costumes, especially!

The masked ball was always one of my favorite parts of the story. Who knows what might happen tonight?
