Quest 263

HER MAJESTY QUEEN ROSELLA
Daughter of Graham and Valanice
~

Death came while she slept
To serenely dispatch her;
He'd tried while she waked
But he never could catch her.

[OOC: Funnily enough, ridiculous epitaphs are a part of King's Quest canon; graveyards are rare in Daventry (mostly because people tend to turn into zombies upon being buried in them, erk), but they do exist, and the stuff on the headstones is almost always humorous, ironic, or tongue-in-cheek in some way. Go figure. Anyway, thanks to the zombie thing, I doubt they'd actually bury Rosella, but I bet she'd get a memorial similar to this.]

Guess it's a good thing I already plan on protecting you just 'cause you're a friend, right?

Pledges are outdated anyway, and I'm definitely not a knight.

Do you? I'm really very flattered to hear that.

I imagine you could be, though, without too much trouble. All you'd need is someone to knight you, really. And I've declared one or two of my own, before.

Of course I do. If you're ever in trouble, tell me. I'd be there in a second.

Y'know, Euphie said the same thing once. I still don't think I could ever pull it off.

My mother used to tell me the same thing when I was a girl. She told me that if I were ever in trouble, all I had to do was whistle and she or my father would come running. It's...a reassuring feeling to have, thank you.

Did she? Well, I imagine she was right. It's usually much less that becoming a knight makes one become honorable, and more that people who are honorable have a tendency to earn their knighthood.

No need to thank me. Consider it my honor.

Honorable, huh? I dunno about that one, but. Thanks.
