...umpkin, one whole apple, half of cherry, one and half again of custard. I wonder why the custard didn't go very well? It tasted all right to me...hmm. And then there's half a turkey still, and the cranberry sauce--and I still haven't looked at the ceiling, thank you--and bowls and things of the potatoes and dressing and goodness, all the cookies, and--oh, when did this turn on?
[A pause.]
Er...well, um, since this is already on, I suppose I might as well ask, really: if anyone would like some, er, leftover baked things from Gi--from Thanksgiving, please do let me know, won't you? Because really, I'd be more than happy to oblige.
[OOC: So Rosella likes big Thanksgiving dinners. Rosella also has an unfortunate tendency to bake up a storm when she's stressed out. Put the two together and what do you get? A veritable mountain of leftovers. >> Please take some. Please.
Also, for those interested, my HMD thread is here!]

And, please, at least let me help you transport some of the food to the Welcome Center. It's the least I can do for your kindness. Although... if you don't mind my asking, why did you make such a feast?

And that's very kind of you! I'd like that very much, really; it is a bit tedious trying to get everything managed, it's true. But it's great fun to have a big party with lots of friends for Thanksgiving every year, in my opinion, and that's why I always make it when it comes around.

[ ahem ] I will admit, until coming here, I was unfamiliar with this... Thanksgiving that you mentioned. It's commendable that you would put so much effort for your friends. I hope they appreciated it.

I was the same way, really, until my best friend introduced me to it here. We never had that holiday where I'm from, but I thought it seemed so lovely an idea that we just made it a habit of celebrating every year.

It does sound interesting. Do you always celebrate it with a feast? [ maybe a nice card would suffice? ]

We do, yes, but I'm told that's part of the tradition--family and friends all getting together for a great big dinner, with turkey for the main dish and pumpkin pie for dessert. That's rather important, somehow, to have those two.

[ finally, something makes sense! ]

I imagine we'll have another dinner for that, too--and if you'd like an invitation to it, to see what it's like, I'd be more than happy to extend one.
