...For all its faults and curses and miseries, the City really is a beautiful place, isn't it?

It's a lovely night for riding, I think.

[OOC: She's heading for the Fountain, specifically; yay, growing nostalgia. Action is fair game if you feel like encountering her!]

Is it really safe to ride at night?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I'll be all right, I think. I don't plan on going anywhere treacherous tonight, just up to the fountain.

I think the City is the most wonderful place imaginable!

[identity profile] miss-waldorf.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
You're going to look in the fountain?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
It really is something special, isn't it, Anne? I take it you're enjoying yourself here, then?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
I hadn't thought to look, actually. I was just going to visit it for a bit. Though, now that you mention it, I suppose I might have a look as well...after all, it couldn't hurt, could it?

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
The City is an interesting place, but I don't think I can call it beautiful.

[identity profile] ann-withane.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
More than anything! What about you?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
You're used to cities, though, aren't you? Or more used to them than I am, at least. We don't have anything even nearly close to a place like this in Daventry.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
I'm still surprised, though, that you'd call it beautiful. After all, I did pay a visit to Daventry that time in your dream.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
All of my friends are here, really. So while I don't know if I could honestly say I enjoy it more than anything, I do like it here quite a lot.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
I can't think both are beautiful in their own ways?

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
You certainly say that you're able. Really, I suppose I haven't an argument here, but I do find it hard to believe.

[identity profile] miss-waldorf.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
It could, though. Sometimes it lies, right?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
It could be that I'm just being silly, you know. I do that, on occasion. But I think it's really the people that make the City so lovely, and not so much the landscape.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I'd still rather call it 'interesting' than 'beautiful', but perhaps I'm just being willful. I do that, on occasion.

I've heard that it's not to be trusted, no. Which is a shame, really, since it'd be nice to have an easy way to look between the worlds. Too nice, really, and likely that's why it lies.

[identity profile] miss-waldorf.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Isn't it better not to know at all, than to know lies?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
I call most things interesting, though, and most of them are much smaller and less intriguing than the City as a whole is. So it really doesn't seem quite fair to merely term it 'interesting'. How often do you call things 'beautiful'?

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose it depends on whether or not you're aware that they're lies. Sometimes by hearing a lie and knowing it's a lie, you can indirectly learn the truth.

[identity profile] misterblackbird.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Not especially often, but the things I do call beautiful are mostly much smaller than the City.

[identity profile] miss-waldorf.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, but all you'll learn is that someone is a liar.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Well, then, I think you're right, and you are just being willful.

[identity profile] primrosella.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes that's a very valuable thing to know.

[identity profile] playstheblues.livejournal.com 2009-07-31 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Are you going to be reckless tonight?
